Support key procurement initiatives and play a vital role in developing and implementing category strategies including all contract management activities for Catholic Healthcare to drive commercial value.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing allocated Categories of Catholic Healthcare;
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining procurement strategies for allocated categories with relevant stakeholders;
  • Investigating and recommending opportunities for implementation of group wide contracts for goods and services to reduce cost and improve consistency/ quality;
  • Providing financial and cost benefit analysis for established category plans and to support Procurement Budget/ Forecast;
  • Acting as 'Category Lead' to Senior Management regarding key category spend and strategic planning, and more.

Tertiary qualified, as our preferred candidate you’ll have demonstrated project management experience and category expertise where you have successfully negotiated and finalised group wide contracts. You’ll bring a collaborative approach to your work and you will have the ability to foster and build relationships with a range of internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Importantly, you’ll also be able to strike a positive balance between the professional, commercial and care aspects of your role and our organisation. Software proficiency using Microsoft office, SharePoint and Basware (or similar) including Contract Management, Purchase Management and Account Payable modules is required.
