Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service (Lourdes) is a third schedule, not-for-profit teaching hospital funded by NSW Ministry of Health and managed by Catholic Healthcare. Lourdes has a long history of providing excellent care to the greater Dubbo region.

As the Head of Occupational Therapy, you will lead a supportive and dynamic occupational therapy department within the rehabilitation unit at Lourdes Hospital, providing adult inpatient, outpatient and community services. This position provides a great opportunity to apply your clinical skills within the area of rehabilitation and community occupational therapy services.

To be successful in this role:

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which include a demonstrated ability to complete sensitive and responsive interactions with co-workers and patients/clients.
  • Experience leading a team of clinical staff.
  • Demonstrated time management skills that include the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and judge priorities appropriately.
  • Understanding of the need for evidence informed, client centered occupational therapy services.
  • Understanding of the need to assess and monitor systems and services to ensure high quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, internet and literature search engines.
  • Current NSW Health Vaccination Status - Category A.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of 2020 Flu Vaccination.
