Proactively contribute to the management and delivery of the Internal Audit function across Catholic Healthcare.

This newly created role will be reporting to the Enterprise Risk Manager and is available on a 12-month full-time maximum term basis with the potential to transition to permanent. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing internal audits across Catholic Healthcare;
  • Performing reviews of business processes to ensure effective and efficient design, implementation and compliance;
  • Preparing stakeholder reports for key stakeholders, including, management, the Leadership Team, Board Committees and Board;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely monitoring and reporting of internal audit findings and opportunities of continuous improvement;
  • Developing and maintaining processes to ensure key stakeholders have responded to internal audit findings, and
  • Overseeing ad hoc audit engagements, outsourced internal audit activities and management of the internal audit quality assurance program.

Tertiary qualified, as our preferred candidate you’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role where you have successfully implemented best practice Internal Audit practices. You will bring a collaborative approach to your work and you will have strong report writing, communication and analytical skills.  A background in healthcare or human services related industries will be highly regarded as well as an Internal Auditing qualification (for e.g., IIA, CIA or CISA).
