Revenue & Billing Officer

Exciting things are happening at Catholic Healthcare! This year we’ll celebrate 30 years in care, we now have 5000+ employees and a new opportunity for a Revenue & Billing Officer to join the large broader Finance Team. As part of the Billing and Revenue team, you will be responsible for managing the revenue for our Residential Aged Care business unit through financial administration processes.

Your days will include;

  • Process fortnightly billing and direct debits for residents
  • Ensure all resident charges and movements are raised accurately
  • Follow up on outstanding issues relating to residents’ accounts
  • Perform receipting, including deposits and ingoing contribution amounts, receipt journals
  • Process Resident recharge invoices and Resident Funds payments and deductions
  • Monitor and respond to Shared Mailbox in line with agreed SLA’s
  • Reconcile Medicare payment statements and follow up on issues relating to lost funding
  • Liaise with Govt. bodies, Centrelink and Medicare on residents/representative behalf
  • Ensure RAD/Bond refunds are recorded and processed accurately and in a timely manner/in accordance with applicable legislation/best practice
  • Minimise outstanding debt through effective debt collection procedures

To be successful for the role, you will have a positive “can do” approach in addition to;

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position within Aged Care.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relations with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with MS Office and ERP software such as; Procura, Basware and Axapta
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to provide evidence of Covid19 Immunisation
